Our goal is to drive incremental business to our hotels worldwide through various channels. Redemption programs such as American Express Membership Rewards and other hotel group programs are part of this strategy. We look at these channels providing incremental business because the traveler will only stay where he/she can redeem points; most stay for multiple nights and use points for only one or two nights.

We provide value to the partner by increasing their reach and providing an alternative to point redemption. Therefore, we are able to negotiate very favorable rates for our hotels which are subject to availability. Preferred Hotel Group also benefits from added exposure to these audiences through their collateral, websites, newsletters, etc.

Red Lion R&R Club Rewards Program


American Express Membership Rewards® Program
Membership Rewards is a loyalty program for American Express cardholders. Members receive points for every dollar they charge on their American Express card. Members in the American Express Membership Rewards Program redeem their points for stays at any Preferred Hotel Group property. The American Express Annual Membership Guide promotes this partnership to its nine million members.


Choice Privileges® Rewards Program
Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Summit Hotels & Resorts are positioned as the exclusive luxury redemption partner for the program. To redeem points for an award night at a Preferred Hotel Group property, the CP member will trade in from 25,000 – 50,000 points for one night.


Red Lion R&R Club Rewards Program
The partnership with PHG allows Red Lion R&R Club members to redeem points for stays at Preferred Hotel Group hotels. This is a terrific opportunity to introduce the Preferred Hotel Group brand of hotels to over 165,000 frequent travelers. These guests primarily use their points toward hotel stays and have been seeking locations that perfectly match the footprint of the Preferred Hotels Group.
